MonoSuite is a collection of browser-based productivity tools with a warm, literary aesthetic. Each app is designed to be distraction-free, works entirely in your browser, and saves data locally. No accounts. No cloud sync. Just you and your work.

The idea behind MonoSuite is simple: most productivity tools try to do too much. They're bloated with features, covered in notifications, and constantly pulling your attention away from the thing you sat down to do. MonoSuite takes the opposite approach—each app does one thing well, then gets out of your way.

The Apps

MonoDraft

A distraction-free writing environment for blog posts, documentation, and notes. MonoDraft gives you rich text editing powered by Quill, with multiple documents that auto-save as you type. When you're ready, export to HTML or Markdown. There's also a focus mode for when you really need to lock in.

MonoFlow

A visual workflow editor for creating flowcharts, diagrams, and process maps. Drag and drop nodes onto the canvas, connect them with smooth Bezier curves, and pan and zoom to navigate larger diagrams. MonoFlow includes 24 node types across 4 categories, so you can map out everything from simple processes to complex systems. Export and import as JSON to save your work or share it.

MonoTask

A simple task list editor for managing to-dos. Nothing fancy—just lists, checkboxes, and filters for active or completed items. Multiple lists auto-save, and you can export to JSON or plain text. Like MonoDraft, there's a focus mode for when your task list is all you want to see.

MonoTimer

An ADHD-friendly timer with gentle reminders for focused work. This one's personal—I built it because most timers are either too harsh or too easy to ignore. MonoTimer has one-tap preset modes (Focus 25/45, Deep 90, 5-min Reset) and a "gentle nag" mode with soft periodic chimes that remind you you're supposed to be working without startling you out of flow.

You can also create custom time boxing templates, track your session history, and see daily stats. Transition warnings at 5, 2, and 1 minute help you wrap up gracefully instead of getting cut off mid-thought.

Why Browser-Based?

Everything runs in your browser. No downloads, no installations, no updates to manage. Open a tab, start working. Your data stays on your device using localStorage, which means it's private by default—nothing gets sent to a server.

The tradeoff is that your data lives in that browser, on that device. If you clear your browser data or switch computers, you'll need to use the export features to bring your work with you. For me, that's a reasonable tradeoff for simplicity and privacy. Your mileage may vary.

Design Philosophy

MonoSuite apps share a warm, literary aesthetic—think cream backgrounds, serif accents, and generous whitespace. The goal is software that feels calm rather than clinical. Tools that you actually want to spend time in.

Each app is intentionally small. No feature creep, no "just one more thing." If it doesn't serve the core purpose, it doesn't belong. This makes the apps fast, easy to learn, and hard to get lost in.

What's Next

MonoSuite is in active development. The current apps are stable and usable, but there's more to come. I'm working on keyboard shortcuts, better mobile support, and a few quality-of-life improvements based on my own daily use.

If you want to follow along, check back here or keep an eye on the updates section. And if you try MonoSuite and have thoughts, I'd love to hear them.
